INGREDIENTS:
- 2-3 garlic cloves cut into large pieces
- 1/2 inch piece of ginger sliced into thin pieces
- 2-3 tablespoons of peanut oil
- 1-2 green onions cut into small pieces (leave some for garnish at end)
- 4-6 cups water
- 1 chicken boullion cube
- 1-2 table spoons sesame oil
- 8-10 pre-cooked wantons
- Half teaspoon Sichuan pepper salt
- Crushed black pepper
- Sliced green onion
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
- Cut the garlic and onion into medium to small pieces.
- Cut the ginger into thin slices.
- Heat the peanut oil on high for 1-2 minutes in a soup pot or wok.
- Add the garlic, ginger, and green onion and stir fry for one minute.
- Add the water and bring to a boil.
- Add the chicken bouillon cube and simmer for 30 min.
- Add the cooked wantons and simmer for 5 min.
- Add the sesame oil, Sichuan pepper salt, and crushed pepper into the bottom of a soup bowl.
- When the soup is ready (5-10 min), pour into the soup bowl and stir.
- Sprinkle the soup with crushed black pepper and sliced green onion.
